Just back home from having my timing chain fitted by Benny and would like to say a massive thanks once again. Got there at 9.15 after the 5 hr drive down from fife and had the pleasure off meeting benny and watching him at work and was away by 12.30. Amazing is the word that springs to mind and...
Woohoo booked in with Benny for 7th may for my chain. Cant wait. Good timing too as i'll just about be hitting the 100k mark then so will be worth the road trip. Vx garage had quoted me £890 + vat to do it so well worth the trip down from fife. :D :)
Yeah mate. I have looked at loads of cars from corsa's to newer vectra and signums and others and really could have done with somethng more economical as i am covering 60 miles a day to and from work. But i have thought whats the point of saving £100 a month on furel to just pay that or more in...
Well my veccy has passed another MOT but hitting 97 k miles now so i've pm'd the main man to book in for getting my chain done. Nice road trip down it'll be as well from fife to wolverhamton :D :D
Not sure, my vectra c has a longer intake that sits nearer the passenger side of the engine whereas the vxr one is shorter and sits on the drivers side but looks the same as the one in the picture. I know some of the other veccy c's had the shorter one. The actual intake itself is the same size...
Hi guys. I have a leak in my vectra c 04 22se. It has been leaving puddles under the car but on further investigation it looks like an oil leak from either the top of the engine or the inlet manifold area at the front. A mechanic I spoke to reckons it could be a blocked breather pipe but I...
thanks for the replies guys. I'll give it a miss then. I never thought of possible leaks. think i will have a bash at an oil change next weekend when i'm off. Will get a fuel filter as well. thinking of changing the oil every 6000 miles and just using gm fully synthetic oil
Cheers again
I am looking at using an engine flush on my vectra c. the engines just covered 70k and hasnt been done before. I know this could push crap through the oil lines and clog the sprayers but is it something worth me doing? Would it be more doable using 2 flushes or doing a couple of changes of oil...
thanks for the replies guys, save me some cash then lol. So do you think an engine flush would be safe or could it clog the oil sprayers? I have read about people cleaning egr valves and stuff (not sure if the 22se has these) as well and thought that may be be an option. I am a tad technichally...
My veccy c has just past the 65k mark and over the coming months i am wanting to start giving it some TLC. Its due a service soon and i was going to get some of the ecotek oil additive to add to the oil and was thinking of trying their powerboost stuff as well. Tempted to get an engine flush...
Anyone know what mods i would need to do fr parts to get for a 2.4 manifold to fit my non direct 04 2.2 vectra c? Its an auto as well would that be an issue?
I am thinking of doing some mods next year
- 2.4 manifold
- new full exhaust system
