there will be import tax and shipping on top. there was some where in uk selling them now for about the same money. £ is weak at the moment so its not a good time to import.

My first kit was about £680 all in shipped and import tax. £ was strong against the $ back then Second kit was around £800 from a former member on here with few extra bits. think its just charger cooler and injectors now and i have another z22se/sc :)

you can use the take off adaptor from a VX220, think vocky had 1 for sale recently? then i guess any after market air to cooler.

they are great engines. had 1 of mine since 2001, covered well over 170k miles now. only gave trouble with cracked head thanks to idiot tuning company over tightening spark plugs on a hot engine at around 117k miles. right royal Knobs! If they are looked after they last for ages.

not seen anything like that on any of my 2.2's looks like something has been dropped in the inlet manifold at some point and made its way to the head inlet port?

Not going to be very simple to do on the Astra. Dave had to swap all the controllers from the z20net to his z22se vectra c. for you it would be easier and cheaper to go stand alone or get the Astra ECU remapped for turbo as figo said above.

Dave Gillbert used z20net ecu set but he is in a vectra C. had to swap all the cars controllers over.

This was discussed a month or so ago, the stock ECU can be used for superchargers not turbo's with the Courtenay map. i forget what the outcome was regarding turbo's as the stock turbo vauxhalls use a maf and cam sensor not found on the z22se. Stand alone?

didn't know that was part of MOT? you could use it for an AFR gauge instead?

1998 yes it had lambda in, it needed it for mixture control. also had the cat in. guess with carbs you will not need a lambda as you will only be controlling spark with ECU? possibly idle rpm as well?
