Last consensus what is need for installing Comp Cams St1?

Hello, after a long time, I want to install comp cams stage 1 ( finally some day :D ). What is the latest consensus after years of using them? Is it still a simple swap or did the continuous use of them show that other items are involved like roller followers, hydraulic lifters, valve springs...

Nice do you have a dyno before the cams as well? And the Schricks are with different valve springs right?

Z22SE Comparison cat cams vs comp cams?

Thank you for your reply. I want to modify the N/A and searching for the best variant for me. I don’t want to go SC and have to keep it road legal. So only Stage 1 possible here.

    4.17 Gearbox AQ=SG?

Is the AQ the direct follower of the SG ? It wont be an exact copy, otherwise they havent changed it from SG to AQ. So what have they changed? Is it also a simple swap on the VX or must something altered? Thanks in advance Don

    Has Powerflow cooked my ecu??!!

Are there any news to it? In the past I have had some years problems with my M100 Élan with rising revs. First I thought it was related to long term fuels values because every time the battery was disconnected, the revs began. Now I was forced to push a new battery in. I have choosen a bigger...

    GM Supercharger Build Book

Ok. The Historie of the 12593902 seems not to be investigated anymore... But an important last question: is the PCV a port with the flow in direction IN or OUT the head?

    I think this'll fit.......

good point! Do you have the other port installed on the mani or do you use a catch can for this? mh... what have all the SC and TC-conversions done in this point? I can´t believe, that they have all the PCV activated or proper blocked?

    I think this'll fit.......

Sounds like a smart solution (y) I have no experiences with cam covers off... is this a simple de- and remount? Do I need a new gasket for remounting the cover? And again... would it be possible to do seal it from the outside with RTV or sth similar?

    GM Supercharger Build Book

I want to use it for a NA-Solution with a different intake manifold as described. But if you try the normal partshops you won´t get any result with the number above. The LSJ-Gasket was substituted in 2006 with another gasket which has the number 12597855. Another gasket which could be found is...

    GM Supercharger Build Book

Could it be, that this Part is no longer available e.g. Has a new number? Further questions... As this is a LSJ manifold is should have bigger nut holes. Is there a proper fit possible or is this also with our diameter available ? And the last: what is RTF? Thanks

    Perfect. Thanks for this :)

    I think this'll fit.......

Ok. So what has to be done exactly? Is it enough to do some silicone in the hole from the outside or has the valve cover to be lifted?
  20. Don.Hasi

    I think this'll fit.......

Mhh.. Liquid metal would be everlasting.... The silicone variant should be reversible. Only a gasket between the two flanges will not be enough?
