160k km(!) - was terrible oil consumption, I had changed rings, and it's OK so far.... now it's 250k km on the clock. But really the engine is terrible, as for me. Two cylinder heads cracked, pump leaked into the oil, chain rattled... I had no car with such amount of engine problems :p

By the way, I had no such symptoms both times. Maybe just a slightly rough idle. And there was no antifreeze on deep stick at all, as well.

Nope, it's because of engineering fault I guess, I was looking web for such accidents and found out that it's common for cold regions, like my city and all scandinavia. I think because of big temperature difference while engine warming or something. :(

Really strange, we have side airbags even in a cheap-ass versions :p

My 2.2 had two same cylinder head faults - head was cracked on camshafts bed, and antifreeze gets into the oil. Had antifreeze lose, had mayo under the cap and water in throttle. So I guess it's pretty common fault.

There are legal racing. Our club makes and legal events and unlegal as well. Legal events are pretty big and long, with a crowd of visitors. But not too often though. This unlegal battles are made mostly for ourselves. Not to feel ourselves too old for that s**t :D The blue lights - police...

Exactly! I don't want to lose those seconds because with cat car seems to be too slow above 4000 revs! Even in city it's uncomfortable. And those drop at low revs are not so terrible. So I tested my exhaust in all modifications and choosed this version. Will see time on saturday racing :)...

Well, I had welded a sport cat instead of just pipe. And my time per quarter become 17.6 (!) But without cat it was 15.2-15.4 sec, so tonight will weld and cut again :D

Brrrrr.... paintfull thing I had my lag burned this way in childhood. But it was boiled water. I wish you to heal fast! PS I have the same chair :D

Yesterday installed a new exhaust, no cat at all, middle part was taken from 2.2TD (it's 55 mm), tail pipe - Asso Racing. And I've got such a wierd feeling that I lost some torque from low rews! Emmm here's the handmade graph like I feel my engine now. Did anyone who rebuilded exhaust, notice...
