howdy people so i just done my hid bulbs and thought i show you all how i did it...
Step 1
disconect brown bulb holder from car and take H7 bulb out...
Step 2
now you should just be left with the bulb holder.
This needs to be cut.
I used a cheap dremal from wooly's with a cutting disc in it
after some more cutting and bodging the back peice can be poped off with screwdriver
there are some metal pins at this point that can be removed with small plyers (not shown)
Step 3
on the front side of the bulb holder there is small bit's of plastic sticking out I broke these free with my small plyers
Step 4
Now the hole in the holder need to be made bigger to be able to push the water proof plugs and wire's throught
i use'd the dimond burr that came with the dremal
Step 5
my kit had a rubber boot with 4 wires in i just cut the boot with a stanley blade so i just had the bulb and the wires
carful not to cut the wires with the blade...
Step 6
insert the wires and bulb in to the holder
Step 7
i super glued the bulb in palce cause it can be tricky when it come's to put it in the car other wize
now the rear side of the bulb holder can now be resealed with a small amount of silicon sealer
That's it for the bulb side...
The kit i have the power plug off the car fits straght in to the ballast box but the wires are the wrong way round but it is very easy to change the + - round with a small screwdriver.
the kit is in the car a fully working the ballast box's have been mounted upright just behind the head light and zip tied to the body throught a hole where a ruber bung is placed as a bonnet stop
mounting the upright gives you room to fit the ballast box between the head light and airbox (see pic)
that's it done as you can see the light output is far gratter than any standard H7 bulb
Rite im off then hope this help any one atemptting to fit them to there car
any questions PM me ..... Carl.....
