New Car

Had the A3 almost 3 years, so the PCP was about to run out. Purchased this new Golf 1.4 TSI Match Edition last week, and collected it this morning. It's my first ever brand new car :)

Put 50 miles on the clock so far. Been playing with all the infotainment stuff today, getting the SD card full of music to play etc, and sorting the navigation out.

Didn't realise CostCo did cars, lol. Looks nice mate, the colour is amazing. I know the feeling of having a new car. Back in '05 we had a new car when my daughter was on the higher rate of DLA. Had it three years and got £250 back from the dealer when I took it back as it was in such great condition with less than 30K on it.

Haha, but they do 97 Ron petrol dirt cheap :)

They sorted the audi out for me as well, because audi were offering a crap buy back price on it.

7 months, and 3,600 miles later.

It's sporting it's "holiday" look at the minute, with the roof bars fitted to we can use the roof box for extra space.

I'm on my second new Golf, the first went back with 45k on the clock. Not a single fault or noise even after four years of abuse :D

The replacement is a mk 7.5, which has a few nice extras over the mk7, however they both lack(ed) any character.
Just a car with four wheels and a steering wheel (n)

That's pretty much how I feel about this one. 1.4T is very average power wise, and the suspension is really spongy on this one. It's not a patch on the A3 I had.

Once the PCP is up, this is going back, and we are going to switch to Audi again, but Amy will be having the "new" car, and I'll be getting something older. I switched jobs in April, so I'm not on shift any more, so I can walk to work most days now.

It's going back in tomorrow for a repair on the rear bumper. I didn't even notice it when I was looking around the car. They told me about it, and said they would repair the whole bumper, rather than me even have to ask them!
