Put the recon head on and slipped tightening the exhaust cam sprocket , I think i whacked a couple of valves and the chain jumped..

blllaaaggghhhhhhhhhh

I'm pulling the chains to set them all up again but not hopeful.

Nope. Redid the chains , set them all up and still the same. Bugger, Will pull the head tomorrow.

Ok late night post drama thinking is the chain may not have jumped but i thought it did because I've got compression on 4 where i set it up. So after the 'jump' I took the chains off because id spun the whole lot through several revolutions and all the marks are now out. Whist resetting the cams back to the start positions I think that's when i stuffed it by getting the piston positions wrong and probably spannered the cams round and whacked the pistons.

So whilst going through this three times on every occasion I've been following the Cloyes video and had to rotate the inlet cam anti-clockwise about 10 to 15 degrees AND the exhaust clockwise by the same amount to get the lugs engaged. There doesn't seem to be a way to do it with just moving the inlet. Am i doing this right
