Not updated for a long time

So new news irmscher front splitter gone for paint, xp rear splitter in for paint.

Then Friday evenING on way home from work tick tick tick tick tick

So side casing off 1 broke guide on the balance chain and the gm tensioner failed

So good used parts fitted to see if it fixes the fault (short term) sump off to find the bit of guide. Found it n cleaned the alloy flakes out the oil pickup (from tensioner and side case not excessive amounts but enough)

Anyway built back up no oil getting to the cams so sounds the same :(

Chains getting oil but cams are not

Next stage is either new NET head or break it for parts :(

Can u not run a couple of engine flushes through it? Sounds like oil pick or channel blocked. It's a sign tho!! U always wanted an astra with a charger!!

Well turbo oil feed off n into a bottle n got about 250ml in about 10/15seconds so I don't think there's owt wrong with the pump.

So next is take cams out and lifters n rice through with petrol n blow down with the compressor

Leave the cams in then take out the blanking plug at the end of the head ex side then pull the filter out
Blow down the oil way then spray in some carb cleaner/petrol and blow again
The turbo oil feed is fed off the block so will be full pressure anywho
