20 miles now covered :) but ive set up the gears and forgot to alter the speed reading so in 6th it was giving 315mph lol
got a full tank after a drive to the garage and got some nice data logs to go thru to make the ve table suitable for load
afr set to 11(white line target afr) and the green actual afr its on the rich side so im happy :)

Give my settings a go
Seems daft to spend a lot of time to get things running ( base map )

I'm sure spending the time fine tuning will be a lot more Intresting a rewarding
Especially when the information is out there

11.8 is where it needs to be when the ecu can actually make the afr 11.8 with the ve table not optimised its safer to run 11 then if theres a lean spike is not running in the 12's
base map is easy just enter 75 in the full ve table the ecu does the rest :)
but to make target afr the ve table needs to be right its a map of the engine airflow fuel required vs temp and some other stuff once set all you need to do is change the target afr and the ecu does it based off knowing what the engine is
i need to get it on some rollers then i can do the ve table complete live without doing it based on logs

some data from last night's log you can see the afr(green line) following the lambda target(white line) with out any serious spikes
ve table needs work still its on 95 and needs to be 83 at the cursor location on the plot the ecu is pulling out 0.10afr because of this
had a friend in the usa have a look at the base map and also explained some other stuff i was unsure of
22psi.JPG

and nice to know that the engine protection is working :)
had a lean spike at pull away and the ecu stop it like a rev limiter

had a bit of a go on the car managed to get all the things done but the clutch switch and the 12 point map switch
took the thermostat out and rerouted the heater loop then moved the aem temp probe to the head with a z20net sensor
the sensor was green but gave it a was in hot vinegar and it came out like new :)
WP_20161209_16_23_00_Pro.jpg

abs rear wheel sensor wired up so i can give the ecu ground speed for the aem traction control even wired the t.c lamp to the aem so when the t.c is off the lamp is on and flashing when the wheels are slipping
pretty much everything in the bay is done
WP_20161211_19_55_06_Pro.jpg

after running the car i found i had to unplug the booster pump as it kept flooding the expansion tank but it seams having the heater matrix output connected direct to the inlet of the pump the heaters work ok
with just one fan wired the engine temp was stable
pic of the coolant temp red for 90c and blue for 85c

after finishing the writing for the abs pump to the aem i have driven and non driven wheel speeds and the t/c lamp
the aem can support a momentary switch for enabling and disabling the traction control
the setting up of the tc was easy the hard part was making the lamp come on and off with the tc on/off
but here it is :)

making some changes to the cooling loop so needed to replace the pipes i cut
bought the heater matrix ones off ebay and they were brown lol soon cleaned up
WP_20161224_15_51_15_Pro.jpg

got the main thermostat housing to rad pipe coming to i bought one but the guy sent a corsa pipe in error so just waiting for the right one to come
in the lead up to the holidays i bought some steel box section ready to build a new bench so far my time has been building the bench and cleaning out the workshop
WP_20161224_16_51_58_Pro.jpg

production line time lol
WP_20161224_18_52_18_Pro.jpg

have been messing with the car to lol
i had noticed that when holding the revs at sat 3k there were fluctuations looking closer at the logs the afr is up and down and the timing
but they match the signals from the crank sensor something in my mind told me it could be vibration of the bracket
nice.JPG

so i made a new one :)
WP_20161225_19_01_06_Pro.jpg

safe to say its solid
WP_20161225_20_49_33_Pro.jpg

even put a lick of paint on the trigger wheel it was starting to rust up

Great stuff on the abs and traction control we did speak about it on Facebook the other day how effective is it and how much adjustability do you have for making it pull out of corners ect without getting it to fully cut in ?

i remember :)
its not like the bosch traction control that limits torque by throttle angle altho the aem can limit the throttle angle for torque reduction
it has 4 different approaches to tc fuel, spark, timing, throttle angle its 100% configurable :)
went for a test drive tonight and turned it off even with the 0c temp the quaife diff keeps traction well over an open diff

more work on the mapping i was never happy with the uneven idle so i rtfm and found a new way to setup the gash idle turn all guff off then set 2000rpm fix the idle fb then 1800 adjust then 1600,1500,1400,1300,1200,1100,1000,900,800 then turn the s**t back on seams better and now no stalling when rolling to a stop
idle setup.JPG

soon be time to get it setup on the rollers

Great work I've been reading your threads on your build and hats off to you the cars come a long way and so have your skills to with it. Be great to see how the new charger performs in comparison to the old and hopefully the cylinder doesn't crack this time for you and that the open deck you've blocked will hold out looks good so far.

idle running from cold
before was up and down and uncontrollable
OLD idle.JPG

after
now with the new settings the car starts much the same as a normal 2.2 with a high rpm to start slowly falling to idle speed (i cannot run anywhere near 700rpm due to the cams) but as you can see from the plots its nice and smooth in the transition from cold to hot running

prep for moving the electric pump and some mock up work
replacement lower rad hose came took the best part of an hour to get all the brown off but its like new again now
WP_20161229_20_19_42_Pro.jpg

with the LNF water link tube and the pump in that place im sure i can make it work :)
WP_20161229_20_21_16_Pro.jpg

chop chop weld weld :)
WP_20161229_21_51_39_Pro.jpg

made a bracket to support the pump and keep it off the drive shaft
WP_20161229_22_34_05_Pro.jpg

loads of room for the link tube at the back
WP_20161229_22_34_11_Pro.jpg

with some bits of rubber hose on it fits but its going to be close to the down pipe
WP_20161229_23_29_49_Pro.jpg

WP_20161229_23_30_06_Pro.jpg

the question is now will it fit past the 3" down pipe lol
