Im looking at a oil feed pipe for the turbo off a nissan skyline. Its 30" long im told.

the oil feed will want to come from as close to the bottom of the sump as I can get it doesnt it?

Is the blue hole a threaded hole? N any one know the thread size?

Also anyone know the size of the red holes?

I just need to know them few bits n the length of the pipes then im good to go on the build.

I dont have to swap sumps over this way either.

Thanks carl, so I have a sump to modify, makes sence anyway with it being a bigger sump so probably need the extra litre to lube the turbo anyway.

thanks, getting it off tomorow n just need to get pipes made up and 2 alloy fittings to suit and get them welded on. Cheerz

the turbo return is not part of the sump.... the hole is in the lower cradle and cannot be swapped to another block the block and the cradle are machined as one part

It's recommanded to drill the oem hole and not the sump because you will drain into the oillevel instead above oillevel. Not sure what's wrong with that, but that is how it's designed.

Blue circle is M12x1.75 and the plug itself is an allen 6mm.

I've read that the mx-5 guys drill the hole and flush the sump with their old oil. No need to take the sump off..... dunno.

I see what you mean, but I think the net sump will need to be used because its a litre bigger than the SE

But drilling that hole while the engines still fitted is going to be very difficult I think plus it would need tapping aswell.

Im thinking a fitting as high on the sump as possible. Notsure?

I've just read all of this and your braver then me lol.

I will say one thing and that when you do your build thread, it's going to be epic :)

I know it's a bit late but re your problems with opcom, there is a opcom forum if you ever have problems again. I'll try and find the link to it if you want as they may be able to help on that side of things.

oil needs to return above oil level to reduce back pressure to the turbo. if it goes below oil level pressure can build up causing seals to leak on turbo and then burn oil/failed bearings. :(
