nope didnt find the solution and it seamed to get worse so i sold it on, had a simular noise on my vectra for 1 day and the bearing decided to make a hole in the side of the engine casing and go down the road

not had a good day engines gone on my vec so looks like its about to become parts still up on ebay though to see what it goes for as it is at teh moment if it sells for a good amount then il let it go if not il just strip it for parts titanium dash gsi bumper / wheels the lot

known the car was leaking oil but couldnt see anything till i changed the wheels onto some tempary ones till i got new tyres and noticed it was from the back of the cam chian cover so thout maybe just a gasket plan was to move house this weekend just gone get paid and drop it in to vauxhall this...

did you find out were you where loosing oil from mate?

i have a VTS aswell till i got my astra 2.2 fast little buggers but for comfort and reliability you'll love the vectra mate.

noticed my cars been using oil but never seen a leek untill i changed the wheels over the other day and as i took off the drivers front saw fresh oil on the side of the engine but couldnt see where it was coming from at the time, any chance it could be a gasket on the side of the cam chain...

saw that on as and got worried but isnt loosing as much as yours realised iv done 10k since i got the car in jan so think its ust normal oil loss as im doing high miles due for a service soo n so see what comes up there

noticed my 2.2 has been losing oil recently keeps going really low not seen any oil patches onthe floor etc but have noticed my throttle body has loads of oil around it and remember when i cleaned it last it had loads inside it. anyone else have this problem if so any fix?
