Be careful re tightening the plugs. Use a torque wrench and don't go over 25nm.

The log file should contain the data from all the sensors on the module you are connected to when recording the data to the log file. The other sensor values should be in the cells to the right which aren't shown in your screenshot.

NEW RINGS OR NEW ENGINE? ADVICE NEEDED

I though it was about 8.55 gagillion myself. But what do I know hahaha :ROFLMAO: Deffo time for another engine. Not that I'm saying It can't be fixed, but it's far better to have another engine so you can take your time to properly check everything without rushing to get it going again.

Has anyone used the dutch software on an Astra?

Well, I just got back from a fuel and ignition learning session in the new supercharged Astra. (Just an excuse to go for a drive really) Still some small jobs to finish off but its definitely driving very well indeed :D:D:D I ended up making an idle pulley from a piece of thick flat bar and a...

Has anyone used the dutch software on an Astra?

Well I decided to supercharge my car today and got it up and running. Yay :D There's a few more jobs to do before it can be driven but its working. Here's a video of the first start up after re-calibrating my ECU

NEW RINGS OR NEW ENGINE? ADVICE NEEDED

I've re-used chains many times without problems. I like to have new rails though. Check for wear on the chain sprockets too, no matter how good the chain is, if the teeth are worn it can slip.

700mv is high for the post cat sensor. Can you take a log file with your opcom cable and post it? Also, Bank 1 sensor 2 always shows as rich no matter what the voltage reading is.

Sounds like a faulty front lambda sensor to me. Get it connected to a diagnostics cable and watch the reading for the O2 sensors. The first sensor should be pulsing up and down smoothly from about 100mv - 900mv. The second sensor should be a smooth 450mv at idle if your cat is working properly...

NEW RINGS OR NEW ENGINE? ADVICE NEEDED

This would be my option of choice too. One thing to bear in mind, if the rings are gone at 77k, you may have other worn parts as it is possibly due to oil starvation or oil contamination. If your competent doing a rebuild but dont want to have spare engines lying about, why not buy the second...

Has anyone used the dutch software on an Astra?

Well I got my ECU back from Peter and it's works great. The car runs so much better already and it not even supercharged yet! Cruise control works perfectly, traction control and abs works and the cooling fans work. Just a few more bits to get and I'll be supercharged! I've not had a proper go...
