The torque curve you have is perfect. I think I have read somewhere that you have timed the cams to spec? Did you play with the trumpet length to achieve something that good or it is kind of pure luck?
Nice one Vocky,
Cams were always the key (after the weak inlet manifold which you already solved long time ago).
I think you got one of the few profiles Catcams have but not shown in their main catalogue ? They are nice people to work with and good advice :)
If it is a similar item to the one quoted in the GMR tuner manuals as Dr.Lee said, it is a fully mechanical item
basically an OE tensionner outer body, tapped in the middle for a bolt
To be honest, I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not... as everyone must remember that as a fully mechanical one, you have to regularly check and correct the tension. For lazy people it could very well be worse than a OE z22se tensioner
Well, the head is ported, but the "opening" face is not (big enough stock, BTCC inlet opening were not bigger than stock).
Might give a 6mm heat spacer a try I guess, this "may" fit and could always easily be reselled if not,
PM on the way
Don't care (CF manifold), but I doubt the thermal gaskets are thick enough.
I have an inlet flange coming from the states, but will be happy if anyone has one somewhere in the good side of the world :D
Have you built the box with the 4.41 FD in the end ?
I have trouble finding a saturn parts website that will ship to France these days.
I understand from a guy that fitted the 4.41 FD in france that you have to make some kind of shim or spacer to be pressed in on the pinion end of the shaft...
I need to space my intake manifold a bit, something around 8 or 10mm
If anyone has an unused inlet flange for a Z22SE lying somewhere, I'll be interested.
Let me know,
LE5 standard liners and L61 standard liners are exactly the same parts in fact
Blocks are the same, same deck height
Only difference is the rod and piston combo (and rebored liners of course)
