oil is cheap after all the work you have done. (y)
this is how I ran in the 2.2 when I rebuilt it in the Vectra,
run till hot on mineral oil, dropped oil
50 miles, mineral oil, dropped oil and filter
500 miles mineral oil dropped oil and filter up to 3.5k rpm gears 4-5
50 miles semi 10w40 dropped oil and filter
500miles semi 10w40 dropped oil and filter up to 4.5k rpm gears 4-5
1000miles semi dropped oil and filter 5.5k rpm all gears
remapped changed oil at next 5000mile that came up 120k I think?
still runs spot on and doesn't burn oil even made 283bhp when dyno'd with supercharger on it :D

its all about load not rpm
issue with a turbo is you start to spool just after 2500
so you got to be quick on the stick

i went with 5/30 morris oil 0-450miles then 5/30 morris oil there after done about 8000miles now
i did the slow way on the 1st engine so tryed the quick way on the 2nd i think its just about driving you car like its a 1l micra

that's what I was getting at, get into high gears asap, load her up!
think it was the kent cams that I fitted to the corsa b that had to be held at 3.5-4.5k rpm for first 15minutes after first start up  neighbours must have loved me that day :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'm a firm believer in loading them up straight away, your trying to bed the rings into the cylinder walls so mincing round at low rpm and no load does nothing.

When I ran the Corsa turbo in I took it out and loaded it up in every gear up to 4.5-5k came back roughly 50 miles and dropped the mineral oil, re filled and out again loading up to 6.5-7k then after 50 miles ditched that oil and put the Motul 300v and then drove to the dyno (another 50 miles) and then did full power runs and map tweaks, compression was spot on in all cylinders.

we used to put the tractors on the dyno with in an hour of start up after a rebuild, 80% power load and if all was ok up to 100% and full power runs for at least 1 hour. on breaking in oil for first 100 hours.
will not be so bad for you dave if it was just bearings and not rings.

If it's just bearings I wouldn't bother running it in, the oil pump provides a thin layer of oil between it and the bearing shell, so i'd just use the car as normal.
