belt was slipping has some smoke the other day it was either wax oil or not enuff wrap around the pulley
made some adjustments
WP_20150509_19_32_50_Pro.jpg

and changed the feed to the inlet one of the jubilee clips was in a way that the fan touched it making a rather annoying ticking sound when the fan was on

Shame about MOT - but at least you got it fixed quick.(y)
i really should get to giving the pump controller a fan to use the car got rather toasty waiting for the main fan to kick in
the plan
its consists of a 5 pin relay found on the cab turbo loom for the elec roof
the wire from the ecm is cut and fed to the N/C pins (87a) of the relay so when the pump controler is not asking for the fan the circuit says as it was
pin 30 of the really would be the common feed to the fan
pin 87 of the relay would be the +12v supply to the fan when the relay is switched by the pump controler and also give the pump controller exclusive control of said fan
there may be an issue with the ecm seeing the load on the fan and it's not asking for it but i will come to that if and when it happens :)

I thought you fitted new rear wheel bearing not long ago?
you must have a picky tester, the corsa is loud now and never had any comments about exhaust from the tester I use.
he had to resort to advisory verbal notes as to future mods this year

I did, sorry for no reply I was in a training lesson.
you will be needing that 3" system with what you have done. have you tried infinity exhausts near Bristol?
http://www.infinity-exhausts.co.uk/
ive spoke with cobra they have an astra coupe turbo 3" that will go right on but need to adapt to a flange and i think they're going to provide a flange with 8" of pipe on that i can work with

scrap yard trip
clip for the water bottle and a new trim for the speedo

also found a coupe with permanent a/c :)

I also spoke to cobra, but as they don't make a 3" system for the corsa it was a bit pricey and their cats have bad feed back about life span.
saw infinity at coombe, looks very good plus they are much closer to me. guess you would be between cobra and them?

I be interested in your current exhaust when u swap it over. Its 2.5 inch?
do you mean all of it of the front pipe ? the cat back is 2 1/4" the down pipe is 2 1/2" sleeve to fit 2 1/4" but the down pipe will be cut up so i can reuse the cat

so i finally got round to giving the pump controller control of the fan :)
here it is again ""the plan"" it's wrong btw lol see further down

10 years of chafing
WP_20150515_18_30_52_Pro.jpg

still connected but manky
WP_20150515_18_32_14_Pro.jpg

5 pin relay fitted at 1st it was fitted with the the trigger to the coil to earth
then found out it did not work i was also expecting the a/c fan to be on
WP_20150515_20_17_54_Pro.jpg

after RTFM! i saw its a negative switched so a small change got it working and was happy to see the main fan running
WP_20150515_21_48_12_Pro.jpg

here's the updated schematic
the plan.jpg

i also swapped back to the 1st pipe layout and ive now got heaters lol been going to work all week 7 mile and the gauge never passed 75c at any point lol
pppppppppppppp.png

as for the fan it's working fine and the main fan comes on full bore for about 15 secs and does the cooling cycle
ive now got the ability to set the fan to come on 3* after 75c 80c 85c 90c 95c and keep the water temp at the set point
and its also good to report that there is no lamp on the dash the coolent module did not care the fan was running when it was not telling it to
