Firstly I Hope this post is ok in here...
I changed the timing chain on my 2002, 2.2 SRi 150 Vectra B the other week and one of the bolts securing the cover was a real Bitch to get out, basically because it was a bit long and I had to lower the engine slightly to remove it. My problem is not now with the timing chain (Incidently it wasn't before, it was the manifold studs broken) but with the air con. As I lowered the engine to remove the bolt, a hissing followed by a few choice words could be heard. So, the refrigerant has now gone....
I know where the leak is, but what I don't know is how many bits the aircon pipe breaks down into. The pipe is at the lower front near side of the car. It has two flanges for the conection, one with a stud, and the mating one with a hole. It's the side with the stud where the leak is. Now the flange part looks like it could possibly slide back in the pipe? Does it? and is there a seal in there? (I'm aware of the doughty type seal inbetween the flanges). If there isn't, I could do with some sort of parts diagram to help see what part/pipe i'll need. Hopefully someone can oblige.
Daz.
