Flat spot

Hi ive got an annoying flat spot from idle to 3,000 rpm, after 3,000 rpm it goes fine, i have a de-cat full system exhaust and kept my standard intake system, ive done the air box mod and found a standard panel filter works betta than a KnN panel filter, is this normal? and does any1 else get this flat spot? notsure.gif

it's probably the lack of back pressure caused by removing the main cat, for some reason the z22se ecu doesn't like the lack of back pressure.

you could of cause equal it out a little by fitting a 2.4 inlet manifold

cheers, ill have to try that, any sites where u can buy the manifold and the fitting kit from? i was thinkin of removing the pre-cat aswell would that make a difference?

precat does restrict the exhaust flow, but is probably all thats stopping your ecu from throwing various error codes.

keep an eye on the classified section, there has been a few 2.4 inlets for sale 🙂

otherwise it's a case of importing from the states
