Hi Spiff.
i've just got the Omnia last week and so far I've been quite impressed with it. Just a few things i'd tell other people if they were thinking of buying one:
It's more of a PDA than a phone really, meaning that the simple act of sending a text can't necessarily happen as quickly as you might be used to (i.e. you have to go Start > new message > etc whereas on my old nokia you could just press one button and get the texting screen up straight away). It almost feels like it's a PDA that has calling and texting as a feature!
The camera I haven't used all that much to be honest with you, but for what little I have used it it's been pretty good. It's just as versatile as a normal digital really (i.e. autofocus, you can turn the flash on and off, adjust white balance, etc etc). It's never going to be as good as a real camera of course, but then I've always said if you're a serious photographer then just buy a camera!
Apparently the screen scratches quite easily, so get a screen protector as soon as you can (i got one from: http://www.supergets.com for £2.40 free delivery and it works fine). The phone actually comes with a stylus, but strangely Samsung don't recommend you use it. That's fine though, because unless you have sausage fingers you'll not really need it.
I have not yet been able to work out how to get message / email alerts to make your phone vibrate, but i'm sure there's a way to do it.
It doesn't come with instructions - you have to download the instructions and they're crap! (Even T-Mobile admitted this).
If you're on the web a lot liike I am then it's a good phone because the web interface is excellent. you have two flavours to choose from - Opera Mini or internet explorer.
That's about all I can think of for now. All in all a good phone, as long as you can get used to the 'PDA nature' of it. If you need to ask me anything else, just email me at [stevenseed@gmail.com](mailto:stevenseed@gmail.com).
Also, you might want to check out http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i900_om ... ew-267.php - I found this quite useful during my decision making.
