help needed

well i cant start the car.

basicaly the other day the alarm went off because i couldnt get the key to work so i had to manualy open it with the key.

now she wont start and the spanner light is flashing. notsure.gif
when i looked in the book it says that it has been imobilised.

does anyone know what you have to do to rectify/reset it??? cos untill i sort it she wont start.

Try a new battery in your key firstly. It may need Tech 2 to sort any other faults though. It sounds like the immobilizer could have thrown a wobble. Your key has a transponder chip that is coded to the ECU. If the code has been corrupted then it will need reprogramming. This will need main dealer assistance.

Just had another thought, if the alarm has been activated and you opened the door manually, the system maybe storing a possible intrusion code and not allow the car to start until you lock and unlock the car with the keyfob. Definately get a new battery first. Its the cheapest option.

the immobiliser has lost it's code, tech2 only to get it going 🙁
