Matt TMS = Thorney Motor Sport, so it would be them. I'm guessing they use Superchips as well for the remap
sdbutler10 thanks matt i see that they are in milton keynes and i am up there for 1 week at the end of oct so i mite be lucky and get one of there remaps. should i try an add anything else before the remap? atm i have panel filter bigger intake pipes 2.4 inlet manifold custom exhaust manifold 200cell cat 2.5" s/s exhaust system egr removed i want cams but not until next year.
vocky wait until you have the cams before paying for a remap I think vid is selling his stage 1 cams dunno..
sdbutler10 well i have just been on the phone to TMS and the normal remap is £250 which i did not think was to bad so i called them up and they told me i would need a custom remap which will be £600 i almost cryed lol. is it worth it come some one help me .
vocky tms have found that the z22se ecu doesn't respond well to normal remaps with the 2.4 manifold, so they have to be mapped to each car those that have had the £600 map seem to report good power increases
JohnnyN The mapping on these engines isn't really working out very cost effective for the tuning companies. As each has to be treated individually and dyno testing can cost £80 per hour. They have to cover their bases, this is why these maps are more expensive.
sdbutler10 i know its steep jamee i almost died on the phone lol. but once i have the cams in i dont want to do anymore to the engine side as i cant really. dont want polished head and new pistions i aint going for mad power just want somehting a bit better than it is. so are these custom maps any good then. will it last? will i see good results? what sort of power should i be seenin with all my mods and cams? thanks 4 the help
