Mark_Dj Re: New Engine It should be 🙂. Mine is a Vectra C 2002 and it has the z22se engine fitted.

If its from the latter its the Z22YH. It wont have a fuel reg as on the C its at the rear of the car. HTH

rushy Re: New Engine, Out from top or bottom? That is not a fuel rail from a C though. Look at Vids in this thread. Is your new lump not from a late B? viewtopic.php?f=107&t=8042&p=82048#p82048

Is your new lump not from a late B? https://z22se.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php? ... 048#p82048 I "think" I know what has happend here....... The engine came from a 51 plate veccy but I am pretty sure it is a replacement engine, when I was having a nose at it I noticed it had the date stamp on the block "04"! Looks like I have an even better engine than I thought notsure.gif
JohnnyN Has it had the chain done?? If that engine has come from a Vectra B it will be running on the old style oil jet regardless of the age. Are there any receipts of any work done??
keithcdb rushy said: Nice one mate, is it drivable yet? yeah drove it back from the workshop tonight, super smooth! My old engine must have been fecked!

As said earlier the block is from 2004 so the chances of it still running the old oil squirters are very slim, the donnor car was fully serviced by vaux since new 8)
keithcdb vocky said: it's always a great feeling when the engine fires up for the first time 8) Very true, I would hate to work on a VX220! there is very little space in the astra's bay.
