hello all im a newbie on here and am i desperate need of some advice...
i have a 51 plate astra coupe 2.2 with engine code of z22se
she starts and ticks over lovely but after a few mins driving the idle is lumpy and she appears to be misfiring...
i took her to my lcal vauxhall dealer and the plugged her into the machine and told me there was no fault codes and no problems but she had only just been started and wasnt spluttering.. (bless they charged me £79.99 plus vat for the complete lack of info....) the mechanic suggested new plugs.
she was completly serviced 2 weeks prior to this. (including fuel filters) but i changed the plugs anyway. then told to change coil pack at £180 done and no joy
then told to get throttle body cleaned done.. no joy!
told it was the idle control valve which is enclosed in the throttle body...
changed at £235 + vat. no joy!!!
i have to get to gatwick on the early hours of tuesday morning and im petrified shes gonna give up on me... shes my pride and joy and i just cant get this problem sorted.
i have also run injector cleaner through her agian to no joy..
she doesnbt completly stall but is horrenously lumpy and you can hear the misfire through the exhaust when idling..
i have since spoken to my vaux dealer and the response is "we dont know"
please please can somebody help me im going out of my mind with worry...
also i thinks there is hesitation on acceleration but im not too sure and if i have the dash lights on and am idling then they dimm slightly when she splutters.
sorry she has also had the egr valve swiched off and firmware updated.....
