Meguiers 3 step system

Just been looking at meguiers 1,2 and step 3 polishes, probably been asked before, but doesn't really mention how good it is on the laquer/ clearcoat as I can see a couple of areas on mine where someone has tried to polish out a scratch mark and has made it look a bit blemished if you see what I mean, do you reckon the 3 step system would help on this Guys?

It is very good. I've used it on mine several times. Its safe on clearcoat. You may benefit from having the damaged area mopped by a professional to remove any blemishes.

first up use megs quick clay to get rid of all the bonded contaminants, then use scratch x to try to get rid of the blemishes, then use dc step 1 and and step 2 , then use the nxt tech wax 2 to finish it off.

this is the general recommendation on the megs forum

if you use them products in that order you will get a really good finish, after the clay you will be amazed how smooth your paint is.

Agreed. Meguires Clay Bar kit is brilliant. Leaves a finish like glass on your paintwork.

I bought Meguires NXT Tech Wax 2.0 a couple of weeks ago. Its my new favourite thing at the moment!!

Are you going to clay the bodywork first? I would recommend it really. It gives you a fantastic base to start on. Then do Stages 1&2 then use the NXT.

I did my car again yesterday, and didn't have time to reclay, as I missed a lot the last time I did it (again, lack of time) You can really tell the difference between the bits I did clay, and the bits I didn't.
