price of new chain

well i just rang up my 3 local dealers to see how much a new chain would be fitted.

1.£550
2.£531
3.£501

so it look s like its around the £500 mark in most places.

my question is because i forgot to ask is how long will the new chain be guaranteed for ?

also would it be worth getting the local garage to give a price ?

It would be worth getting a price from a different garage but buy the parts yourself and get them to fit them. I bought a cam chain kit from my local vx dealer and it was about 120-140. This included all spokets, chain, guides and tensioner. It would also be worth doing the balance shaft chain aswell, this sits behind the cam chain, again avalibe in a kit for about the same price as the cam chain.

if you have a new a/c belt then the total price of the job should be £426.64 inc parts and labour @ £65+vat per hour

i found a company who wil supply the kit a £100 and fit it a £180 only thing its in scotland so out of some peeps reach
