Cruise Control and Traction Control Problem :(

well ive had my 2.2 astra for a few months now, and i have this problem where sometimes my cruise control will just cut out whilst im on the motorway, it will be set for 75mph, and ive noticed it cut out when im on a flat road, no side winds, no bumps, nothing that i could think would cause it. but sometimes it will work perfectly for ages :?

also the traction control light comes on and stay on when i am on the motorway. with the same circumstances as the cruise control, when the logo of the skiddy car is on the cruise control wont work which is annoying as cruise control gets the 2.2 up to 39mpg 😃

the traction contol problem is noted in the log book as having been looked at but nothing done when it was under warranty!

It must be one of the ABS sensors playing up, the CC will not work while the light is on best get it checked out by VX, unfortunately the wheel bearings/abs sensors are about £180 + vat genuine but you can get them half the price from some factors

it does sound like a dodgy abs sensor, but before you spend any money it's worth disconnecting each abs plug (on the hub) and spraying with electrical cleaner

also a tech2 should be able to pinpoint which sensor is playing up 🙂

Well i cant believe how long its been since i posted on z22se :shock:

as for the problem its still their, Tech2 said nothing was wrong and neither has my own OBD2 machine

i shall make a post in the welcome section as i never showed the cab

can you connect fault code readers whilst driving?

if you can i might be worth doing so if the fault only appears at motoway speeds, but then again the Tech2 should be able to read the fault logs.
