How smooth do you find the car idles, I don't find mine is super smooth as such , having said that it doesn't misfire as it were it's just that you can feel it through the seats if you know what I mean and notice it more after about 10 secs or there abouts after I come to a stop, my last car was a Focus and with that you couldn't feel anything on idle so much so that sometimes I thought it had cut out!! as it was so smooth, other than that these Vectras are quite a joy to drive it has to be said!!

Worrying about this got me into spending money for no reason a little while back.

I was paranoid that my chain had jumped and that my cam timing was out. Having recently spent the best part of £3000 on the head & cams, I was a little worried about it all getting smashed if the chain had slipped. I booked the car into the main dealer to have them check the engine over. They told me then that it would be the cams but I wasn't listening. They kindly checked the cam timing to the tune of £140 only to confirm what they had already told me that it was the uprated cams that were causing the ever so slight lumpyness.

I felt a reet cock!!

What a nightmare mate, still, at least you know for sure it's right!!
