For the 2.2 owners out there

What's the best exhaust to get on your car from the cat back, will stretch to a sports cat later on in the year, but for now want to add some more BHP and not wake the neighbourhood, I love the sound my car makes now and don't like the roar of big boars... any help will be appreciated.... also will have to agree/ work with a sports cat later on in the year..... suggestions welcome.

You really want a 2.5" exhaust system if you have plans to modify the engine at a later date then you will get better results out of ya future mods.

The BEST exhaust system for your car would be a 2.5" Milltek catback. Available from Courtenay Sport. Before I had the SC, fitting the Milltek gained me 12lbs torque and 5bhp. The torque was the noticeable difference because you can actually feel the torque.

The sound is awesome too! Not too noisey. Just a nice deep conservative sound.

or a custom 2.5" jobbie, like powerflow etc, they can make it how you want it then.

Why buy Powerflow or custom when you can have Milltek for the same price? I paid £374 for a Longlife custom system and it was shit! Milltek was £375 and it has proven results.

I would never recommend a custom system to anyone now having experienced both.

Not to keen on custom exhaust manufactures the big companies spend a fortune tuning the individual exhaust systems before they sell them. What do custom manufactures do? cut and weld. no tuning.... But that just my opinion??

Just had me Milltek centre fitted with sport cat, def releases more power highly recommended. And the ppl at roadrunner might sort you out a good price.

Cool beans, milltek at the end of the month then?! from the cat back, do they do downpipes? I take it that helps to? or dont worry about it? also how loud are the milltek's? I dont want anything stupidly loud guys

Milltek is not loud. (Unless you have a Supercharger with 4-1 Dbilas manifold and a 2.5 inch custom stainlesss Courtenay downpipe) pmsl..

The Millteks are very reserved. They sound deeper but are not annoying. It will sound great, believe me.

Do I kneed it from the cat back or will the standard pipe be ok??? or will it gain a few more BHP with the cat back pipe?

Go for the 2.5 inch cat back system mate. It will come with a 2 inch to 2.5 inch sleeve so that it attaches to your existing downpipe with no problems. You're better off doing the cat back system as if you don't you'll probably regret it later and it'll end up costing you more.
