Poor engine response

Firstly I`m new to the forum so hello to all.

I`m having problems with throttle response out of my Vectra 150 (02).
It can go for miles like a dream but every now and then the engine really struggles for power. At idle the revs fluctuate very low to almost stalling the car. The engine management light has now gone out which is a good thing, now the confusing thing.

The car had been fitted with an LPG system which was causing mayhem with my Lambda sensors which have both been changed. I`ve now given the Gas a miss and running on petrol only.

A bit of research told me that the gas may have caused problems with my injectors, does anyone recognise the above symptoms or have any suggestions, this would be greatly appreciated.

welcome to the site m8 i had the same prob that the car wanted to stall but mine wasnt fitted with lpg but once i give the car an oil filter change and new spark plugs i runs fine now

it's worth sticking some genuine vx triple electrode plugs in, @£4 each, so quite cheap - but probably the best for the z22se engine

Hello mate, welcome to the club. A friend of mine had a gas conversion on a Mitsubishi Galant 2.5 V6. He suffered with what sounds like the same problems and that was due to either poor air flow or too much air into the airbox.
