2.4 inlet almost there but a little stuck!

Hi All,

Hope you can help... I just need to check a couple of things. I fitted (with a friend) the 2.4 inlet manifold. Now I've got an engine light on and the revs are not idleing correctly. Not a problem though as I haven't fitted the EGR blanking plate or the EGR suppressor. I've got both of these now, if I fit them will that fix everything?

Also I didn't remember to fit the suppressor to the alternator, what problems will that cause, I don't fancy taking the whole thing apart again!

By the way the ECU mounting bracket wouldn't go on either as the bolts were too short (the ones supplied in the kit on here). What am I doing wrong?

just get some new bolts from halfords

suppressor is for the radio, so expect some extra noise from the speakers :lol:

Thats Strange...

When i accidentally put my supressor on the wrong way round (durr!! No comment!), it obviously blew the capacitor and then the Battery/Alternator light came on and the car was only running off the battery (12v when running instead of 14v).

It was fine when i went back and butchered the original suppressor... Anyone know why this happened to only mine, other than my momentary lapse?!
