Some advice / help needed people.
Today I noticed the Cruise Control on my 51 plate Astra Coupe wasnt working. However, when i used my left foot to pull back the brake pedal and then click the Cruise Control button it worked fine! Once I pressed the brake pedal again to cancel Cruise Control and then re-attempt to start Cruise Control it didnt work until i did the same as before, pull the brake pedal back with my left foot. It didnt noticeably move at all but obviously the very minute amount of space that it did move meant the CC started working again!
Is there some kind of switch mechanism behind the pedal to cancel CC when the brakes are applied? If so it sounds like this is slightly out of line or too far towards the brake pedal. Could someone kindly point me in the right direction please possibly with pictures as I dont know what to look for or where to start!
