Well my project is now no more. I have given up on it 63.. . I was just working out how much it's going to stand me finished and it's a bit too much, as I still need to do stuff to it. It's going to cost me just under £3000 all done :roll: . Plus with all the overtime at work I don't have time to go looking for parts, I don't get much time to work on the car at the moment. My work is picking up loads with the new gas and electric work we have just got :roll: . I have put it up on Ebay

Gutted mate. I was looking forward to the finished project. Will you buy another C? At least you can do chains now which is always a good thing.

Don't think I will, maybe if it's not had the airbags out. They seem a nice car but I don't know them well enough to work on. If it was an Astra I had bought with the same damage it would have been done now. Second hand parts are like gold dust to get for these, well the newer parts are. I have always finished a project, so this is a first for me letting it go half done. Main reasons for selling are lack of second hand parts, and it's costing me more than I thought.

Would it not have been easier to finish it off back to standard, rather than a facelift?

Probably Matt. I never knew new shape bits are so hard to find. If I can't get rid of it I will put it back to original, as parts are easy to get. That just means I have bought the new front panel for nothing, I might be able to sell it still. Then I would have to buy the original front panel, but that would be the last new part I would buy for it.

You could swap parts with other guys wanting to facelift. There is a guy who is doing a Signum.

It looks like I might be finishing it off after all. A lad on Vectra C has messed me about I think. He never sent a deposit and has not replied to my email I sent, asking him what's happening. I knew he was on the forum after I sent him the e mail, as I check when he last visited the forum. I have ebay fees now to pay because of this. I still like the car so it looks like it may get finished off now, and still keep it new shape. That's if he does not get back to me. I know this lad was selling his Vectra C VXR look a like, but his deal might have fell through. Either way I ain't bothered, as it will turn out a nice motor either way. If I fix it I will keep it as it's a very smart car 🙂

Sorry to here you've been messed about mate, I know he's had problems with his internet connection, TV have been trying to contact him also about a shoot. But as you say he's been online since as you saw in his profile. Any how, hope you get what your after, whether thats the completion of the project or sell on.

Well he got back to me again. Looks like he still want it. I thought I was going to finish it off for sure for a moment. I even bid on a headlight for it on Ebay.
