I was looking at how the breather in connected to the air flow pipe before the TB and there seems to quite a fair bit of oil residue in and around that area, the TB does not look to be gummed up but surely this must hinder acceleration, end of the day when a car is breathing heavily then it is a sign of wear concerning rings and other bottom end components
I remember doing the breather mod on a redtop to stop oil running into the tb when cornering hard etc
I was thinking that it only costs about 20 - 30 quid to buy a catch tank and mini k&n induction filter [oil breather filter]
would like some opinions on this please !
also i was thinking of hooking up extended hose for the breather filter to be located further away to stop fumes entering the cabin
