Rattley engine on start up

As above peep's. Not everytime I start but probably every other time my coup's sound like a diesel! As soon as i rev it (not much either) the sound goes away and sounds really smooth.
I've had the car about a year and this has only started to happen in the last month. Anything to worry about??

first check the oil level, if it's ok then get the cam chain kit fitted asap

it sounds like a duff tensioner / snapped guide, do not use the car until it's repaired

Yikes didn't realise it'd be that bad. Oil level is fine. Where the best place to get a cam chain kit?

yes it's that bad, the chain will snap and a new engine is over £1500 + fitting

ebay can be slightly cheaper for the chain kit, otherwise Autovaux will be cheaper than the dealer.

dealer supplied price for the chain kit / crank pulley oil seal / timing cover gasket / crank bolt = about £125

i found the only time my car did it once was when i left it for 1 weeks then started and within 1 sec the noise had gone i thought it was where it had sat for a while the oil had just drained off the chain but soon as it was started the chain got oil back on it and was fine?
