Fitting vectra c air intake pipe

Hi new to this forum found a link from astra-sri forum site.
This morning i had a go at fitting a vectra c air pipe to my astra and i could not get the old pipe out, i managed to losen the pipe but i could not remove it from the car. Has anybody done this mod if so how do u get the old pipe out?

Hello and welcome to the site 🙂. Removing this pipe is tricky :? . You need to just push and pull and twist it to free, you just need to play around with it as it will come free in the end. It can be a pain sometimes

Removing the pipe is a pain. There are two locating lugs on it, where the screws hold it to the the slam panel. These lugs can be prised off the air pipe with a screwdriver and a double jointed arm !! This will make it easier, sorry possible, to remove.

These lugs clip into the pipe on three locating pins, it's just a matter of prising them off.
