K70_RAF So surely the exhaust system is only as good as it's smallest part so fitting a 2.5" system should not make a lot of difference if any if you are running a standard manifold?!
vocky tms gained 12 bhp from fitting a 4-1 tubular exhaust manifold on an otherwise standard engine it dropped to a gain of 8 bhp on a 185 spec engine so the standard exhaust manifold is really shite
K70_RAF Right so its def an issue that needs sorting out, especially for the Astra due to its lack of space. Is anyone in touch with engineering companies for a possible one off group buy?
sdbutler10 we did get offered ome for exhaustuk but it was going to be about 500-600 i did think on making my own one as the only bit i would need is to make a exhaust flange to the head
vocky then along came the german ebay dbilas manifolds for £300 and killed off the tubular ones, being half the price
sdbutler10 still made out of cast tho thats the only prob i culd say with them but i searced ebay the other and could not find anyhthing not even in the dbilas website. vocky do u know how i could get a flange made up
K70_RAF There's loads of exhaust companies about surely we can get one made?! Can't the original exhaust flange to head be reused?

edbutler Has anyone tried the old 2.2 Ecotec manifolds? Are their bolt patterns the same on the cylinder head?
