vocky I would advise to have the chain inspected or replaced 🙁 it's also not a good idea to drive it either 🙁
Martyn ok well i got it booked in on mon and they quoted me £250 for parts and fitted if its the chain that is just took it down now and he had a listen and said and i quote lol "its deffo chain related" does this sound like a right price? and cheers for the advise
vocky thats not a bad price, the cam chain kit / gaskets etc costs about £130, so if thats £250 for parts make sure it's for both chain kits, the other [balancer chain] kit is about £120
vocky thats very cheap, make sure they change the crank pulley oil seal whilst it's apart, they cost about £10
Martyn well he did say roundabout the £250 mark so ive allowed £300 we shal see anyhow just hope all is well afterwards.
