As the weather's looking up today, I'm going to fit my chains kits and new cams.
I have both chain kits, new piper cams and a new set of hydraulic lifters.
Is it easier to swap the cams/lifters 1st then the chain kits, or change the chain kits 1st, then install the cams/lifters ?
After reading my Haynes manual and some posts on here, I'm guessing it's easier to swap the cams/lifters 1st and use my timing tool to hold the cam timing whilst I install the chain kits, but it's been an incredibly long week, so I need some "thinking assistance" before I rip it all apart
PS, anything in particular I need to do whilst installing new lifters ?
The Haynes book only covers re-installing old lifters and doesn't mention anything I may need to do to install new lifters ?
