Have to say, only had the car for a couple of days (2003 Vectra, 2.2 Elegance) and noticed how well these engines pull even low down, plenty enough torque for me, only gripe is that when pulling away with a bit of throttle ,I get the engine/ exhaust sort of growls a bit if you know what I mean! , might even be resonance noise from exhaust (not blowing) all other times when I put my foot down I don't hear it and also when starting from cold there's what sounds like a belt whining sort of sound that goes once the engine warms up , are these normal for this car (probably just me needing to get used to different noises as car's new to me!!) Over all I'm very pleased with the car.
