richard well finally found the time to get car over to my workshop to check the timing and install my comp cams timing was spot on so that was a good start 😃 comp cams went in all ok not a bad job to do really only down side is when i got home i could see oil was leaking from bearing cap number 11 🙁 even tho i did put silicone sealer on. cant remember now tho if i could take that cap off without taking off the cam cover again to just re seal it or does the cam cover go over the bearing capdunno.. i quess either way cam cover off or not i just need to re do the silicone i quess it would be ok to just take off bearing cap 11 to re seal as it dosent push down on the valve springs VOCKY what do you think cheers..
richard think ive just seen a picture of vids when he had his cams done and looks like i will have to take the cam cover off again to remove cap 11 what a pain in the moon..
vocky just remove the cam cover and bearing cap, clean off all traces of oil and old gasket, reseal and refit the cam cover it might take one hour but worth it for no leaks 🙂
richard thanks vocky i thought that was gonna be the only way cheers.. in answer to baldie87 idles a bit lumpy but then we all knew it would be but not to bad. only drove it 40miles on way back from workshop and didnt push it but does seem to just keep pulling from 4000rpm only mods i have are pre cat removed and k&n panal filter with derestricted airbox and veccy c pipe. hard to say really as still think my car is not running right think it may be coil pack or maybe map sensor dunno..
