Just wondered there was a little talk on this not being fair back dating a tax charge on the news a while back??.

Mine will be going within the month. Cant really justify 2 cars and mine being the more expensive to run it makes sense to get rid of it and share the misses car. Not too bothered really, will save me some good money

The tax applies to cars first registered on or after 1 March 2001...

So i'm fine as mine was registered on feb 27th 2001.....

Im seeing it being £310 a year for an 02 reg 2.2 astra, time to say bye bye I think.

DOn't know if this has been posted already but there is a petition on the number 10 downing street to complain about the backdate VED (Tax) increase. Don't know if anyone would like to sign it?
