Its my first post so be gentle.
I have a an early (2002) Vectra C 2.2 LS now done nearly 130 K on the original timing and balancer chains/sprockets. My steering rack has developed a leak and needs changing so I have decided to change the timing and balance chains at the same time.
I have just purchased the necessary kts from my vauxhall dealer in Colchester.
The Balancer Shaft kit (part number 55563405) appears to have two or three sprockets missing. The kit contains guides, tensioner, chain, and crankshaft sprocket. I was also expecting it to include the sprockets for the balancer shafts etc. Is this assumption correct ? dunno..
If changing a chain I would normally expect to change all the associated sprockets at the same time.
Is it not necessary to change the addtional sprockets on the 2.2 ? notsure.gif
I will of course check for wear when I do the work.
If anybody has any experience of this, please help.
