richard was going to check my timing today but had a migraine typical work all week then ill anyway just getting as much info as possible so can someone tell me where the cam lobes should be on cylinder number 4 when timing is at tdc im sure ive read somewhere that they should be exh 11 oclock and int 1 oclock but i also read on instructions for my timing tool (sealy pro) and in the haynes manual that the lobes on cylinder 4 should point upwards when at tdc?
vocky the timing marks should be; exhaust 10 'O' clock inlet 2 'O' clock it's as simple as that, the cams can only fit onto the chain cogs one way, so align the marks and job done
richard thanks vocky cheers..last question i promise does the crank have to be at 12oclock ie woodruff key pointing to 12oclock with the timing marks as you said at 10 oclock and 2oclock is that then the correct timed up postion?
