Spooks Hopefully someone can help with this one! I seem to be getting a grinding/binding noise from the front end but only when.. a) I use reverse. b) If i'm rolling/decelerating with the clutch engaged (going forward) until i dip the clutch? - ie when the momentum of the wheels are turning the clutch! Any ideas??? Have just been camping and had a bit of a spin on the grass if that helps!!!! cheers..
Spooks ok cheers, any idea where to start, or shall i just take it to a garage, not a lot i can do when the car is stationary! I may be benig paranoid but sometimes I can smell burning, like rubber or like a heat exhaust pipe?!!!
vocky it's worth getting a garage to have a quick look, might be the clutch if it smells but could just be something caught on a driveshaft, might be worth having a look
Spooks Looks like I got away with a cheap fix! - The nuts had come undone on the exhaust manifold to downpipe, I renewed the gasket a few months ago so must have vibrated loose, the back one was only a few threads from the end! All tight again now and noise has gone, thinking of double-ing up the nuts next time (hopefully there wont be a next time), anyone know what thread they are? Anyone else had this?
