Sounds like the power sounder, It has internal battery thet when going flat just sets it off all the time very annoying.
You can get to it by by pulling back the wheel arch liner and can either get a new battery, but you will need to split the unit and solder the new batt on or buy a new sounder £60 from Vaux.
