About four months ago i had my cam chain replaced after it started making noise. Its been fine ever since till latelly i started to notice a ratteling sound on start up every now and then. Its fine on completly cold start up when engine revs jump to 1500rpm but, if its been driven and was parked up for couple hours and didnt have enough time to get completly cold so that revs go to 1000rpm on the start up it rattles for about 2-5 seconds. My theory on this is that it takes a bit longer to lift the oils up from the sump as the engine dont rev as high on start up, due to engine maintaining the temperature. As the weather has got a bit wormer. I use 10/40 mobil one oil. Has any one had simular problems?
What can be causing that? Cheers. cheers..
