ja_ hi all, i have a 02 vectra b and started to notice a strange sound when idiling (sounds abit like a diesel) but only low and it can only be heard inside the car when i pop the bonnet cant hear it . I dont know if this is the signs of the cam cain on its way out ? would be grateful if anyone could shed some light on the matter for me cheers ja

vocky you will need the cam chain kit, this costs about £125 with the lower timing chain/oil pump gasket, crank pulley oil seal and crank bolt a garage should charge around £350 labour so similar to changing a cambelt
