corsa vxr stage 3

as some of you know i have a corsa vxr and it's going back to courtenays to have the stage 3 map on sat had the intercooler fitted last week all ready for pvs i will keep you posted of the figures when i get them but i expect johnny will know first or neil if he pops over but if it goes to plan it should do 40-100 in 4th gear in about 12.6 sec but i will let you all know on sat 😃

i think stage 2 makes it fairly rapid but i just want it allbut it really needs to get a lsd and some better brakes now more expense diff= £1000 ap brakes = £1600 the car is so much fun to drive ask johnny or neil as they have both drove it

i have already asked about stage 4 and jon's mapping guy reckon he can 300bhp out of this 1.6 engine didn't dare ask how much but it will need internal work

I spoke to Mark today about some new brakes too. I'm going for the Courtenay 16 Groove fronts and Courtenay 8 Groove rears with EBC Red Stuff all round. Should be purchasing next week. I'll have to come up and have another go in your car.

lol, that is mental from a 1.6, puts my 116bhp to utter shame. I'm quite tempted to see how much it would cost to drop one of these engines in the Astra.....but no doubt it will be more than the car is worth

nah the brakes are fairly good to be honest as they are but i wil be getting some courtenay groovy ones very soon but the ap's can wait as for the diff i like torque steer it makes a man of you showo..

not that much lighter Johnny only 140 Kg according to Parkers what..

vectra = 1363 Kg; Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 193.82

vxr = 1223 Kg; Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 199.39

until i get in then the power to weight kinda goes to shit

getting power down is easy leave esp on and nail it it will only spin a little :lol: but in the wet do not try to overtake under power you have to pull out over the white line than nail it if not when you hit the white line it will break traction after your drive at billing young johnny you can tell everyone how it is cheers..

ps: the vxr gearing will leave Johnny lagging way behind 63..
