It's all down to personal taste Roger. People always ask me why I like them, and it's just because "I do". I think a lot of it is due to the fact I've been brought up around them. Both my Dad and Uncle have quite a few, and I'd always liked the look of them.
Also, the stigma attached to Tattoo's has sort of dissapeared over the last decade or so, where it's a lot more acceptable to have a tattoo now than it was back in the late 80's
