to be fair to the lad who supplied us with the engine , he had no clue that anything was wrong , he had bought the car from a breaker after it had been impounded for no tax & didn't have much chance to check everything out before it had to be de-polluted .
he was very apologetic about the whole thing & seemed quite upset by it all .
he does trading in various things on the internet & has a good reputation , this is why i believe it was a genuine oversight on his part .
the main thing is that he refunded the money & this other engine we picked up is absolutely spot on , so everyone is happy in the end , just took a while to get there .
