FLEXI PIPE

Well guys i think my flexi pipe has died (again) i can hear it rasp under load and stuff and its makin the engine noise louder than normal.

i bought this one of a site really cheap i think from a german website - i forget but the guy told me about on here. does anyone know a cheap replacemant downpipe or is there a way of repairin them. i was thinkin with metal tape round it ????

any help guys would be great.

Get it welded ashley....much cheaper than new down pipe......

which one mate ? i wouldnt have a clue where to start ???? they come all in different sizes and stuff..

I just replaced it on my vec, 51mm x 160mm

but you can use a flexi between 150 - 200mm as long as it's a 51mm diameter

Camskill is worth a go. I bought one from them a while back. I paid about £27 for a s/s ILOK flexi.

which one is better to fit a clamp on or weld on ? i hate the thought that clamp on may not be as a tight seal as weld on ????

i recon it would be good to do both . not going to hurt .. clamp it , then maybe weld it for a double seal ?

ah cool then the problem should be sorted by lunchtime tomorrow for me as i get my exhaust fitted.. would this have someting to do with the sensor on the exhaust ?
